Thomas Deacon Academy understand that although important, school years make up a small proportion of an individual’s whole life. For this reason as a school we are committed to offering a wider Careers Education and Information Advice and Guidance programme.

We want our CEIAG programme to motivate and encourage young people to continue their education and successfully move into employment making choices that support their aspirations. Work and higher education can be competitive places and our students need to be knowledgeable, self aware and prepared to be flexible in order to have a successful transition from school to the wider world.

We have teamed up with Work Ready Graduates to put together an online careers website to support our students in the next stages of their careers. There is advice on leadership, self- confidence, resilience, communication skills, presentation and personal branding and job hunting
